Abstract:
Learning styles and reading strategies are the tools of educational process in the frame of the concept of the lifelong learning. Educational demands of teachers and students are increasing and therefore these cathegories are enlargeing their importance and are necessary to be observed. They help to prospective teachers both to cope succesfully with studying and in the practise to deliver them to the pupils. The paper presents the outcomes of questionary survey of learning styles and reading strategies of prospective teachers in the Czech Republic and Poland. The results of the comparation reveal the educational trends that are necessary to reflect and innovate. Our survey confirmed that a relatively high number of students learn the subject matter of the text memorial and that their strategies are related to their learning styles. It is therefore important, particularly in the study of prospective teachers, improve and expand their strategies not only for successful learning, but also for their future profession.
