Abstract:
The use of multimedia resources in education is a long-term trend that has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Mobile learning in particular is a methodology of teaching in the education system, which is becoming increasingly important in the classroom along with traditional learning. On the other hand, the students themselves are accustomed to the technologies around them (social networks, video sharing networks, etc.) and learning material presented in this way is very well received. The development of learning materials itself must be intuitive which will allow users without previous experience to create relevant interactive educational materials. To help teachers, Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski is developing a system for designing and developing multimedia m-learning resources.

In this paper we present a prototype of a system for design and development of multimedia m-learning resources. The system is a web-based solution in Bulgarian language, which will enable teachers to use it from anywhere and anytime. It has an intuitive interface, which will allow users (teachers) with minimal training to use it.

The main functions of the system allow users to create multimedia resources for m-learning entirely from scratch or from templates. The system allows drawing basic shapes, such as rectangle, ellipse, polygon, etc., inserting text, images, creating simple animations and the ability to export to video format to be shared via link or QR code.

The educational effectiveness of the developed system for design and development of multimedia m-learning resources will be tested by a pilot experiment.
