Abstract:
The formation of the necessary motivation and competencies allowing graduates to successfully immerse themselves in the intensive and constantly updated flow of scientific, technical and public information is an important issue in teaching foreign languages ​​at universities in the context of a universal global intellectual space. High quality of professional training required when teaching students of non-linguistic specialties provides, among other things, upgrading the existing and creating new teaching techniques in linguistics.

In Russian teachers’ community, there is a strong interest for promising drivers of change, the launch of pilot projects and creating original design of educational space. In this context, individual trends in the development of ICT are considered, ways to solve the currently relevant task of learning individualization using the Internet are discussed, the organizational and pedagogical framework for the application of innovative practices is clarified. The possibilities of modern multimedia applications in the context of communicative mechanisms reproduced in a network format are explored.

The authors chose a program for training students of non-linguistic specialties as the object for the analysis of project activities in the direction of learner-centered education. The article summarizes the content of Russian and foreign sources addressing the problems of online education.

The authors implement the comparative analysis and other empiric methods of quantitative estimation.
