Abstract:
The interest in undertaking appropriate, multifaceted activities for the education, upbringing and care of children with special educational needs is confirmed not only by The Warnock Report Special Educational Needs published in 1978., but also the activity of such institutions as the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education and the ministries of education and government sectors in the countries of Europe and the world. All these entities point to the need for appropriate actions directed at all students facing learning difficulties caused by different factors.

The work will present the organization of a support system for children and young people with special educational needs in Poland. In particular, the conditions for organizing education, upbringing and care for disabled and socially maladjusted children and adolescents, principles and forms of providing psychological and pedagogical assistance in schools, facilities and centers of early development support will be described.
