Abstract:
The age in which we are living is dominated by the powerful expansion of science and technology in all the fields of activity and by the continuously increasing speed of the people’s rhythm of life. These characteristics of the contemporary age have direct consequences on the young generation as well as on its training face to face with the socio-economic and political requirements all over the world.

Concerning the requirements of the economic society, of the immediate present, it is worth to mention concepts such as globalization and crisis. The word ”globalization” is uttered by everybody: it turned rapidly into a slogan, magic incantation, passepartout able to decipher all the present and future mysteries. Some consider globalization as something that we must achieve if we want to be happy; others think that the source of our unhappiness is globalization itself. But certainly, globalization represents the implacable destiny towards which the whole world moves, an irreversible way which affects us all equally and in the same way.

The phenomenon of globalization represents more than it seems. The relation between the developing countries is not a linear one, but a contradictory one. Globalization itself is neither good nor bad. It can have favourable or unfavourable results according to the way in which its functional mechanism is applied by the decisional factors under concrete conditions in each country.

For many developing countries, the worsening of the living standard for milions of people by losing their jobs and by migration towards other countries in order to lead a decent existence within families, the life incertitude, the conditions and implications of the present crisis all over the world, all these represent disfunctionalities of globalization.

It is enough to have a look around in order to see the great number of unwoven families, abandoned children, thrown in the street with no remorses, sleeping in basements, underground, in stations, trains. Reading the daily papers, the media, we find that the number of those raping their own children and others’ children, of those killing brothers, parents and grandparents is increasing alarmingly. Or, nothing keeps us in such an age of transformations not to remain just spectators perplexed by the lack of morality manifested by the human society in general.

As education has to start at the earliest age, we want to present a scenario of achieving a moral education lesson for the IVth form in the Romanian primary education.

We hope to enrich our experience by means of this presentation based on the debates carried out and to share our experience with many others interested in this issue.
