Abstract:
The co-operative education policies are aimed at providing conditions and opportunities for including all children in the general education environment. Part of the issue with the provision of high quality education is the early school dropout primarily in schools of predominating marginal families of Roma ethnic origin. This is the reason why certain options for identifying and resolving problems related to the issues faced by the educators dealing with prevention of early drop out of school need to be reviewed.

This writing is concerned with the opportunities of the innovative educational environment used as a factor for prevention of the early school dropout. The environment resulting from the application of modern innovative methods is being discussed herein.

Of the other hand, the article has the purpose to uncover the problem of retaining the Roma student at school, and how it could be resolved by using the opportunities of shifting the conventional educational environment towards adequate communication among the engaged parties, cooperation and shared solutions in the education process.

We are being driven by the notion that forming a new educational environment, in which alternatively to the conventional education students shift their position supported by teachers, could be a good premise for prevention of school dropout, since in the shifted paradigm, being engaged in the processes the students get motivated to learn, feeling more secure and more confident in their own actions.

For attaining the aim of this elaboration and implementing the set tasks, a questionnaire has been developed and carried out among 52 general education teachers. The research results show not only the positive attitude of the teachers to the employment of modern and innovative (interactive) methods in the organization of teaching, but also highlight the essence of the innovative educational environment where knowledge is attained through the active search by the students themselves.

As a result of the conducted research, a summarization has been reached that organizing a student oriented educational environment allows for a positive attitude to the educational process, builds up a motivation for attending school and participation in school life. It is necessary that teachers working in multicultural environment endeavour to organize an appropriate educational environment as a factor for overcoming the significant issue with premature dropping out of school of Roma children. It is namely their active participation in educational activities set in an innovative educational environment that makes them feel important, at ease, and safe due to the individualized teaching which takes into account their potential and needs.
