Abstract:
Task-based learning approach (TBL) has emerged as a vital methodology in modern-day education. It is actively used in many fields for its undeniable merits. It is also engaged in medical education curriculums, particularly for enhancing linguistic proficiency and interpersonal communication abilities necessary for clinical interactions. This paper explores TBL as an educational strategy, focusing on its effectiveness in instructing the Georgian language as a foreign linguistic proficiency and interpersonal communication abilities to medical learners. It discusses the structure and pedagogical foundations of TBL, emphasizing its practical, student-centered approach. Using a questionnaire-based research conducted among international medical learners, the paper highlights their experiences with TBL activities such as role-plays, dialogues, and group presentations. Findings indicate that TBL significantly contributes to improving speaking, listening, empathy, and professional communicate in simulated medical environments. This paper supports the integration of TBL into medical curricula to foster more competent, confident, and linguistically adept healthcare professionals. Keywords:
