Abstract:
In this ever-changing world, where all the possible efforts are made to facilitate the advancements in technologies that itself promotes the popularity of the English Language, we can definitely say that traditional classrooms lose their meaning, value and importance. Most of the learners have access to the internet, to extensive materials and to the tutorials of any kind and this is where they tend to study most of their English. When being aware of this, the students reasonably lose interest in attending the classes, where the teachers try to push them study the things in an inconvenient school/university environment instead of their comfort zones. Contemporary teachers and educators have to seek for the ways to encourage the students involve in the process of education and to have a will to routinely attend them.

When seeking for the ways of enhancing attendance and performance of the students, Task-Based learning emerged on the horizon.Based on a lot of studies , it really engrosses the students in the process of learning in a way that it leads them to self-explorations , self-discoveries and self-sophistication. This is what bacame the premise of the given work and the research conducted. Eight experimental classes were created at BAU International University Batumi and at Batumi Maritime Academy. Qualitative Method was using with the method of direct observation. The students were taught using Task- Based Learning approach. The groups were observed for two semesters and the results seemed to be quite profound. As it turned out, using Task-Based Learning method considerably impacts on their attendance , involvement and GPA rate and based on its features, it enhances the skill of life-long learning. What's more, using this method demands a very comprehensive planning, an accurate strategy and close observation by the teacher that is very beneficial for the teacher .
