Abstract:
As the technologies advance, the world is becoming more and more connected. Modern people are witnessing the changes in economy, education and various fields of science and life. This era brought us a new, universal term –globalization. Globalization from its side enhanced the significance of the international education, thus resulting in doubling challenges for the educators in the field of higher education. This gains particular importance in the context of delivering education in the field of medicine, as it seems still to be quite difficult to ensure the merge of the professional knowledge in the field and the experience and skilfulness in terms of conducting effective and student-oriented lectures or seminars, in one person. On top of that, knowledge of English language could be an issue for quite some number of the lecturers as well as the students that make the process of learning even more complicated so that some students lose the motivation and easily give up.
The aim of the research is to reveal and classify the problems encountered in teaching medicine to international students from the students’ as well as the professors’ perspectives. We intend to have a comprehensive picture of delivering high quality education to the medical students who will be able, upon graduation, to meet the requirements on the labour market, independently, where they decide to start their career from.
Observation and survey of the students and the lecturers involved in the process of education will be applied as the method of collecting the required information based on which we will draw the relevant recommendations on the potential of improvement of the process of education.
The recommendations drawn will be helpful for the heads of the educational programmes as well as the professors and lecturers responsible for implementation of the educational programme. Keywords:
International, education, medicine, improvement.
