Abstract:
Here, it is introduced the broad outlines of the context and goals for a study concerning the design and evaluation of affective interfaces for ubiquitous learning. Emotion recognition is one of the key steps towards affective computing. Using emotion detection technologies from biophysical signals for example, it is investigated how emotion evolves during learning process. By other side, pervasive e-learning platform is one type of e-Learning platforms that provide “always on” education. It aims to support pervasive learning environments where learning resources and tools could be accessed by students anytime anywhere. It differs from the previous platforms by using wireless computing and pervasive computing technologies. This research is documental and descriptive, referencing the state of the art of current empirical findings and associated study lines in the affective computation area. The methodology of this work involves the integration of selected readings and contextual theoretical references, which can be assembled and related in a formal design activity for interaction plan with an affective interface for ubiquitous learning.
