Abstract:
CUSHA – COIL is an international online cooperation between the University of Education Karlsruhe in Germany and The Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. It brings together the follow-up activities of the Erasmus+ project “CultureShake” (www.cultureshake.eu) and the design of COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning). The topics are: culture, teacher education (primary and secondary schools), CLIL and multilingualism. The CultureShake project ended in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cultureshake project lead from the University of Education Karlsruhe and the stakeholder from Deakin University exchanged on online collaboration and chose the “CultureShake” project with its content as a starting point.
This presentation will give some insight into the CUSHA – COIL design with focus on organizational, legal and financial aspects such as different timeframes for semesters and trisemesters, data security and curricula. We will share our experience in how to structure such a bilateral cooperation and what thought we gave to learning platforms. We will go into the area of impact for our institutions and how it contributes to internationalisation in our institutions.
As we want to expand our, at the present, bilateral cooperation into a wider network, part of our CUSHA – COIL design is also to welcome new cooperation partners. Keywords:
