Abstract:
It is impossible to communicate in a foreign language without the skill of speech recognition. Auditing is one of the most complicated aspects of speech activity. Computer technologies (audio and video materials, computer programs, etc.) are widespread at the current stage of development of the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL).

Audiovisual teaching techniques have a number of advantages over traditional methods of teaching, allow to study not only the structure and formation of Russian language, but also its linguo and cultural peculiarities.

Animation is becoming a more and more popular material for conduction of RFL classes because it does not only allow to master various aspects of Russian language and to develop speech skills of students, but also contributes to the formation of linguistic and cultural competence among foreign students, that is it visualizes national value guidelines and stereotypes of native speakers’ behavior.

Cartoons presenting national traditions, holidays, customs and ceremonies attract students with their colorfulness, integrity and sound design and promote intercultural communication with native speakers.

This article considers the possibilities of using animation in teaching Russian as a foreign language. It analyzes materials for auditing in the form of specially selected fragments from Soviet and Russian cartoons, provides recommendations for their usage at the lessons. The relevance of the selected topic is determined by the fact that in the modern world, with the development of technologies, new opportunities have opened up for better and more efficient teaching Russian as a foreign language, in particular, for forming auditive skills with the help of video materials.
