Abstract:
Nowadays, various communicative aspects of speaking English are considered important due to international cooperation in various fields of human activity. The importance of studying spoken English at school is undeniable, it leads not only to international career prospects but also to a global perspective of individual and intercultural identity. The basic aim of the research is to identify new ways of developing speaking skills of the students at the senior stage of learning the English language. The article highlights theoretical discussions about teaching spoken language at English lessons in high school, in particular text and communication. The analysis of the discourse features is presented: inventory, semantic spheres and communicative goals. The research material consists of the selection of texts, which contain examples of dialogic speech in which there is a direct exchange of statements between two or more interlocutors. Various types of exercises for the formation of dialogic speech skills are described and analyzed. The leading methods are the analysis of scientific works, empirical and experimental data, method of involved observation, modeling and experimental method. The experimental method is aimed to search new means of teaching dialogic skills to high school students.

The results used in the work can be useful in teaching, in the course of learning to communicate in English in order to form communicative competence.
