Abstract:
Today, there is a sharp increase in new technologies and ways of teaching students, given the current situation with COVID 19 in the world. Schools have transformed from classical teaching in schools to online learning. The change came quickly and schools had to adapt to a new way of learning, together with students and parents. Distance education brings different attitudes and opinions of experts on this form of education.

We find various recommendations on how to teach remotely, how to motivate students, how to evaluate them. But is the current school still ready for such education? Online and offline teaching is used in distance education. In applying distance education, schools encountered the lack of standards and guidelines to ensure the educational process for all pupils.

The paper deals with the issue of application of distance education in education, its implementation and the readiness of schools and teachers to teach in the online space. The issue of distance education is more often anchored at colleges and universities that have sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical experience with this issue. Primary and secondary schools have become a problem, which have had to move their usual teaching to another platform.
