Abstract:
Technology is a specific area in which mental and manual activity are combined. It is an area that is constantly creating new work situations, which are a source of work experience. In the subject of technology at primary school, pupils prepare for receiving new knowledge through their own active activities. The acquisition of basic work and technical skills, a system of professional knowledge, is the result of a process of technical education aimed at introducing students to the basics of technology and technology. The subject of technology at the second stage of primary schools thus enables the preparation of young people for life in today's world, the balanced mental and physical development of a personality who encounters a lot of new information and their connection in creative practical activities.

The paper deals with the development of psychomotor skills in the subject of technology at the second stage of primary schools. The aim of the research was to experimentally verify the impact of the proposed practical tasks with the teaching aid Unimat on the knowledge level of students, and to strengthen the development of psychomotor skills through practical activities with technical devices that can contribute to greater interest in higher technical education.
