Abstract:
The authors of the present work have carried out a project aimed at students of the University of Seville, who belong to three degrees in Experimental Sciences. The “III Plan Propio de Docencia de la Universidad de Sevilla” has granted financial support for the implementation of a teaching innovation project and the organization of a research conference.

The main targets proposed in this project can be summarized as follows:
- Students have to select one of the most popular branded food and the accuracy of the information recorded in their labels will then be studied.
- The reliability of the labels according to contrasted health parameters as well as the tricks that the big companies use to hide some unhealthy composition is next searched.

Hence, in order to analyze and summarize that essential information, undergraduates need the development of a critical thinking and bibliographic selection skills. They will then be able to successfully conclude the work they were asked to do.
The undergraduates have to carry out a formal presentation in which the students will analyze the selected topic in a conference entitled “II Scientific Days”.

The results of the above mentioned conference will be compiled and published, so that the participants would improve their skills in presenting scientific results [1,2].
