Abstract:
The aim of this communication is to implement the training pills within the program of the European Union Economy subject. The training pills are a teaching innovation tool that consists in analyzing a very specific issue related to the subject through the elaboration of a very short PowerPoint presentation. In this way, specific concepts are made clearer so that the student can have a deeper knowledge. Thus, theoretical aspects and practical activities are combined in small training doses. As a whole, the teaching and learning process allows students to retain those concepts in their medium and long term memory, not forgetting them once they are examined in the subject. Furthermore, each knowledge pill is presented to the rest of the classmates. Examples of pills have been the issue related to Brexit, Covid-19, the British check, among others. The versatility of this teaching innovation methodology allows the positive results obtained in this teaching experience to be extrapolated to other subjects and even to other educational stages.
