Abstract:
The launch of the European Higher Education Area requires the application of new methodologies in education. Therefore, taking as reference the subject of the European Union Economy, framed by the college of business at the University of Almería (Spain), three educational games have been put in value (Word Search, Minesweeper and Trivial).
These games have complemented the theoretical and practical study of the subject and have provided greater ease of learning the subject.
The number of students involved were 558, divided into two academic years, 2007/08 and 2008/09. The evaluation made by the students was 9 on 10 points. In this academic year 2009/10 we'll introduce some new educational games.
We have participated in the III Conference on Information in European Higher Education Area at the University of Almeria with the work: "Advances in the standardization of Personal Home Pages and Educational Games".
