Abstract:
Most Universities develop an outstanding number or researches and lecturers present high standards in terms of training and experience. However, it is important to reduce the gap between what it is produced and what is being shown in the International Scientific Community (Publications in high quality indexed journals).

In the concrete case of Ecuador, lecturers are well trained from the theoretical perspective but they need to complement their training with practical training oriented to show interesting results of research in the International Community.

The development of research skills and the publication of results constitute an important component for the lecturer and each time more there is an increasing social demand to show scientific capabilities. Research becomes an important element for training and is key to advance in knowledge at Universities and in the social environments where the University operates.

This paper presents an experience recently developed in Ecuadorian Universities where a group of tools and methodologies have been applied to promote the publication of research in quality indexed journals and the feedback received from this experience..
