Abstract:
This paper presents the EKM (elearning Knowledge Management) tool dedicated for radiology and particularly in breast cancer domain (senology). The paper will provide all the functioning principles of the tool illustrated by examples of real cases on real patients from the department of radiology of Gustave Roussy Institute (Villejuif). The EKM tool is based on the case-based reasoning (CBR) approach which consists of comparing the new problem to be diagnosed to other diagnoses already treated and validated by experts. We have developed in previous ‘research papers’ methodologies, techniques and tools necessary to develop the tool. The implementation is now completely achieved. We illustrate here the modules developed and their usability and functioning. We illustrate them by images and videos from the empirical study in senology and also with some examples in radiology. We will demonstrate that the tool is very generic and could be used in other fields of radiology or medicine. We have used recent techniques and languages based on recent technologies. Keywords:
