Abstract:
The article briefly reviews the relevance of preparing future social workers for work with forced migrants. Forced migrants are classified as a vulnerable group experiencing trauma, psychological problems, social and educational exclusion. Unfortunately, in the modern world, the hot areas of war and repression are not diminishing. This is due to the ever-increasing number of forced migrants. Social worker often become “key providers of assistance to forced migrants in a new host country. Therefore, it is important to properly train and prepare social work students work with this target group. Various methods are available to prepare future social workers. The article argues for the benefits of experiential education for this purpose and analyses the essential principles of experiential education.

The second part of the article presents 3-stage research. The data of the first stage of the research before the targeted application of experiential education are described firstly. Then it describes how social work students participated in experiential training. The results of the experiential education are described in the third stage of the research. The article concludes with discussion and conclusions that can be useful to both the scientific community and practitioners.
