Abstract:
Starting from the experiences gained in the context of the master’s degree course in Architecture, the authors, as teachers and experts in the field, propose some reflections on the methods of transferring contents and methodological approaches relating to the discipline of technological and environmental design.

In particular, these considerations will be conducted through the presentation of various didactic experiences of degree theses which, although united by the aspects characterizing the discipline, have allowed the authors to develop a series of thematic focuses with the students.

These focuses will be illustrated starting from the case studies used by the students in the respective design applications, focusing above all on the methodological aspects related to the discipline and on the teaching strategies with which the different contents were addressed.

This in-depth study also aims to highlight how skills acquired not only within the environmental design course (fifth year) but, in general, acquired in the technological field throughout the five-year degree course, are then put into the system in the elaboration of the final thesis.

Finally, the authors will discuss the appropriateness of the training tools used in relation to the results of the didactic experiments developed by the students in an attempt to underline any integrative strategies to support the teaching of the discipline of technological and environmental design within the master’s degree course in Architecture.
