Abstract:
Hearing loss is the ability of hearing decrease that affects within the educational process and that limits cognitive abilities. However, in the special education center Fundación Cariño in the province of El Oro - Ecuador, a shortage of technological instruments has been detected by teachers towards several students with hearing impairment. For this reason, the present study proposes as a research objective to design the digital didactic resource necessary to favor the learning process in children with hearing loss through infographics. In this study, 10 teachers from the school participated, and a mixed approach was used for the research, using the following data collection instruments: questionnaire based on likert scale, interview and classroom observation, which made it possible to analyze the extent to which academic performance is affected in children with hearing loss. Among the results, 5 infographics were obtained, which allow teachers and students to generate a greater understanding and knowledge of this educational problem, Therefore, a degree of satisfaction of 100% to be able to implement the resources of infographics that allow to inform educational subjects. It is concluded that, in view of the increase of the infographic resource, it is possible to make teachers and students aware of the problem of hearing loss, giving it the necessary importance within the educational environment.
