Abstract:
This documental, non-experimental and descriptive research has been developed for academic purposes in order to identify the main benefits of the fourth industrial revolution.

In next years what is now known today as the fourth industrial revolution will require the deployment of skills related to the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, robotics, nanotechnology, 3-D printing, and genetics and the biotechnology, skills that will cause changes in models of business and in learning strategies, among other situation, that consequently this situation requires a profound change in the set of skills necessary to thrive in the new global scenario.

The fourth industrial revolution also involves the empowerment of citizens, this is why this research explains that the central role of the Government in this context must be the co-creation of knowledge, promoting the change and opening the doors to a decentralized, open and intelligent governance, encouraging the creation of networks of citizens who actively participate in challenges such as facilitating communication and collaboration in periods of crisis such as natural disasters.

The objective of this research is to analyze the concept of fourth industrial revolution, and according to the theoretical framework analyzed propose a strategy in order to take advantages of this in the near future.
