Abstract:
This research is released to understand the current international economic history, identifying the concerns from the main international agencies and taking into account important events that have occurred during 2016, considering that these events may have important impact worldwide.

In addition to the events mentioned in the title of this research, there are other challenges that the international community must face towards the future, concerns related specially to fight against the climate change, the fight against terrorism, and the volatility in the global markets.

For this descriptive and documental research it is relevant to consider a reflection about any other challenges to face in middle and long term, challenges that in other researches similar to this document will be suitable to analyze in the future: the unemployment; the oil prices; geopolitical matters and the relevant role that the emerging economies have in the international arena; the refugees crisis that affects for first instance to Europe; the Middle East situation that never disappear in the international agenda; the unlimited concern about Israel and Palestinian status; and global challenges related to the crisis in water supply among other challenges for mankind now and in the future.

Nowadays the modern trend through which the knowledge is shared includes Internet, system that allows to learn and to conceptualize the current international economic history in real time. In this way, the Internet has become an efficient tool for the development of studies and research as long as they maintain a strict quality control in the selection of sources. In the methodology, this research required to review official websites of important international agencies as sources of high quality data, increasing the knowledge and understanding of the globalization process as a result of the Scientific-Technological Revolution.

The main events considered in this research in order to identify the impact on the global financial markets were: The Brexit or the United Kingdom referendum about leaving the European Union; the presidential elections in the United States; and Italian referendum about constitutional reforms.
