Abstract:
Thanks to the media, especially Internet, it is possible to learn more about any place of the world and it is possible to get images of unknown places, due to they are fully available to anyone through the use of a computer. So this research highlights, for educational purposes, available web sites on the Internet that may be useful to deepen on the knowledge of our current globalization process.
In specific, this research documents the relevance of three great personalities that during the second semester of 2013 have been widely recognized because they are an important source of inspiration for promoting a better world: the Pope Francis; Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela.
This research is released to understand the actual international economic history, identifying the concerns of the main international agencies and taking into account important events that have occurred recently.
Nowadays the modern trends through which the knowledge is shared includes Internet, system that allows to learn and conceptualize the current international economic history in real time. In this way, the Internet has become an efficient tool for the development of studies and research as long as they maintain a strict quality control in the selection of sources. This idea deals with the concept of informational society that Castells describes as a society based on information and knowledge managed by the new technologies.
This is why within the sources of information used to conduct this research, it has been reviewed the official websites of several international agencies from the period July-December 2013 where the main events considered in this research were based in the following personalities: the activism of the Pope Francis; the 50th anniversary of the Martin Luther King speech at Lincoln Memorial in August 1963, and the death of Nelson Mandela.Keywords:
