Abstract:
Augmented Reality (AR) allows us to integrate the real world with the virtual world; we can observe virtual objects integrated with real-world objects and environments through a computer, such as a mobile device. AR has the potential to enrich educational experiences by allowing students to manipulate objects or phenomena intuitively and interactively.

Currently, tools are available to facilitate the production of AR-based resources for the end user without programming skills. These types of applications have inspired teachers to explore the use of AR technology in their teaching activities. Applications such as Adobe Aero allow the creation of immersive experiences based on AR but require the use of a latest generation Apple mobile device, which becomes a limitation for some teachers. For this reason, an application has been developed that offers the basic functionality to create, interact, and share AR-based experiences. InmeRsivA is an application for Android mobile devices that allows teachers to create an immersive educational experience using 3D models. Once this immersive experience is created, their students will be able to interact with these 3D models to help them visualize examples or phenomena according to the objectives of their subject.

InmeRsivA allows teachers to create content and integrate it into their teaching activities. It also allows students to self-regulate their learning since each student can interact independently with the immersive experience designed by a teacher.

With this type of proposal, the student is expected to interact with AR and mobilize the same cognitive resources as when performing the activity with real-objects, focusing their attention on the learning objectives without the mediating object being relevant.

According to the challenges identified for implementing AR in educational environments, the development of these applications should consider usability as a central aspect. For the development of the InmeRsivA application, principles of interface design and design patterns for mobile applications were considered. A usability test was conducted with users to obtain more information about the application's usability.

It was decided to develop the application for mobile devices with Android operating system since it is one of the most used by students.

The application is expected to be used by professors who design a didactic sequence that favors AR as an educational resource.
