Abstract:
The “Technological pre-university students” course is an initiative promoted by the Polytechnic Superior School of San Pablo CEU University in cooperation with CEU San Pablo Montepríncipe Secondary School.
Several fun and educational sessions are conducted in the university facilities for 16-17 year old students showing technological vocation so that their leaning on science and technology is reinforced by this applied, practical vision.
The course has been designed by a group of professionals and university teachers with wide experience in different fields of scientific knowledge, guiding the students through the different available options related to Architecture and Engineering.
The aim is to inspire students with passion for their future profession by challenging them with problems and concepts they wouldn’t have faced in their ordinary preparatory school programme.
Students are the main characters in this sessions, in which for one hour a week they are encouraged to participate, discuss and put their hands on laboratory equipment, building models, construction materials and computers. Keywords:
