Abstract:
After two years of health emergency and implementation of preventive isolation at different levels, the institutional structure of some societies has suffered, with drawbacks, failures, foundations weakness. In Argentina, these circumstances had catapulted a serious fall in the educational level, which particularly registers a considerable detriment in the capture of knowledge and skills of students at all levels, while shows a marked desertion from educational fields. There are multiple factors involved in this process, where problems related to network access and the availability of hardware stand out as very important. In the university environment, the immediate consequences of this situation are a marked decrease in the level of acquisition of subject-specific skills, but also attitudinal, behavioural, collaborative work and communication skills. This situation must be reversed gradually and steadily but starting as soon as possible. For this reason, a set of didactic strategies using hybrid education is proposed as a solution, which combines the instructive and communicational force of face-to-face teaching, with the potential, high reach and permanence, and accessibility of virtual computing resources.

In the Basic Sciences Department, the chairs of Mathematical Analysis I and Probability and Statistics of the Information Systems Engineering (ISI) career of the Technological National University in the Rosario City, theoretical strategies are implemented including, among others, brainstorming and open space; while in the virtuality simulations and animations of essential topics and processes are shown, to secure basic competence learning of the logical structure that a Systems engineer must possess. Each concept is instructed and evaluated in a dynamic way, with activities where the student develops, along with technological competence, specific skills, including new ways of thinking about essential topics of the career. Also provide a means to obtain attitudinal and behavioural competences, both essential to enter in the professional engineer current work structure.

The experiences that are reported in this work were obtained from the activities carried out by the students of 1st and 3rd year of ISI, adapted to this new context of hybrid teaching, where, in accordance with this work format, the evaluations eliminate the use of paper and that are replaced by interactive and highly dynamic group discussion challenges, where speed, agility, and provision of means for the reliable and direct demonstration of acquired skills prevail.
