Abstract:
Most academic institutions are putting now a lot of effort to add the business-entrepreneurship and research dimension to their existing educational dimension. The triangle education-research-business is very difficult to manage and only a limited amount of big success stories exist.

Therefore it's interesting to flip the triangle and to start from a business company that adds research and education to excel the training of their consultants and to create new products and services by becoming an offically recognised academic university. Inno.com is the only private company in Europe who realised this.

Inno.com was founded in Belgium in 1998 as a company that offers advanced ICT Enterprise Architecture, Masterplan and Program management services.
These services require very well trained consultants, new models for change and project management, in relation with the business strategies of their customers: companies and organisations of all sizes.

By setting up a pragmatic plan, they advise organisations with their most complex strategic ICT decisions and deliver the expected results. They are committed to upholding the highest quality standards, a no-nonsense approach and absolute determination and focus.

In 2009 they started their own academically accredited Master-after-Master Programme in ICT Enterprise Architecture, officially recognised by the Flemish government. Through that platform they were and are able to nourish and accelerate the implementation of innovative business models.

In 2016 over 6 years, 6 classes of students graduated, and the company growed to 70 highly experienced and specialised consultants. Also their customers were happy because many of them joined them in this master degree study. All students started with minimum 5 years of consulting experience. Some of their trainees left to thecompetion, but all kept high esteem of the study and INNO.COM.

In this presentation and paper we will discuss the start, process, problems and their solutions and success of this programme.
