Abstract:
As an academic higher education institution, Daugavpils University (Latvia) operates in the new knowledge-based information environment, which is characterised by radical and far-reaching changes. Such environment enables creation and implementation of knowledge that is needed to build up and strengthen the platform of Daugavpils University mission in education. Preparing students to meet the needs of modern society is one of the direct advantages that the use of knowledge management practice offers. In this perspective, the main task of Daugavpils University is to develop and implement knowledge management processes in order to make its educational mission relevant to society.
