Abstract:
ChatGPT started a global revolution in 2022. ChatGPT reached one million members in under 5 days, as opposed to services like Netflix, which took 3.5 years, and Instagram, which took 2.5 months. So why did ChatGPT grow to be so well-liked? The solution can be found in its capacity to produce content that is meaningful with only one word and to quickly and thoroughly respond to queries.

The effects of ChatGPT have even reached higher education. Researchers have looked at the program's potential, and the media has offered tips on how to use it. For instance, Neuman et al. (2023) asked institutions of higher learning to talk about ChatGPT and its potential uses in teaching, scientific publication, student assessment, and other areas.

In this study, change management was taught using ChatGPT in a business management study program at the Kaunas University of Technology. The purpose of the study was to investigate the potential of ChatGPT as a tool for gathering useful data to support decision-making. The findings indicated that using the tool presented difficulties for both teachers and students. The results had to be interpreted by the students using their theoretical knowledge and prior experiences, even if it was an engaging study. Also, using ChatGPT required additional time.

According to the report, higher education institutions need to modify their instructional strategies to embrace tools like ChatGPT. Students should be aware that while it can be used in the study process, it might not always deliver correct information. Students have to be informed that it can be used in the study process. The tool might not always provide accurate information and might point to harmful content. Thus, it is crucial to let students know what the tool's limitations are. Higher education institutions have to update their evaluation procedures as ChatGPT-generated text becomes more common in order to make sure that students demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a variety of formats.
