Abstract:
The research aims to find out the availability of technological competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan, and the extent of their possession differs according to the variable of the academic year. The descriptive survey method will be used, and a stratified random sample will be selected.

Research questions:
1. What is the extent of the availability of digital education competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan, in the field of using the information and communication network?
2. What is the extent of the availability of digital education competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan in the field of operating systems and applications?
3. What is the extent of the availability of digital education competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan in the field of digital social communication?
4. What is the extent of the availability of digital education competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan, in the field of preparing and designing electronic courses?
5. What is the extent of the availability of digital education competencies among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan, in the field of preparing and operating digital education devices?
6. Are there statistically significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of availability of digital education among students of the Department of Primary Education at the Arab Open University-Jordan due to the variable of the academic year?

Research importance:
It is expected that this research will contribute to enriching the Arab library and researchers on the subject of digital education, by providing the primary data and information they need, and that this research will help students in the faculties of education with the importance of competencies in digital education and increase their practice of it, as well as in response to educational trends that emphasize the need to pay attention to preparing Basic stage teachers before service, especially in the field of digital education.
