Abstract:
The pandemic and the forced self-isolation of people have led to a surge of interest in online and non-formal education. Free access to the latest courses makes it possible to change existing models of higher education. At the same time, a huge niche is occupied by the study of both the MOOCs themselves and the methods of introducing online courses into the higher education system.

Considering all this, a completely new, unique project was implemented for IITU students — they can take courses on the Coursera platform on their own and receive the appropriate certificates, and the university will provide a transfer of educational loans. Coursera is Stanford University's mass online education project that partners with more than 200 top universities in the world's top university rankings and well-known international companies.

This article discusses the methodology for introducing a special educational platform for universities based on Coursera, which allows students of an IT university not only to study unique courses from the world's leading universities and technology companies but also to receive the opportunity for free certification. This product allows you to integrate platform content into the university ecosystem. The results of using the Coursera platform are also given in the example of IITU JSC. It is shown that the introduction of new modern courses enables students to learn and adopt the international experience, and to develop their professional and practical skills to the maximum.
