Abstract:
Currently more and more people use websites dedicated to health to gather the knowledge. The main sign of the use of ICT solutions in health maintenance is searching for medical information in Internet.

The article contains the analysis of functionalities of chosen e-health websites in Poland. The respondents group consisted of Phd. students. The survey was conducted in February 2016.

The aim of the study was to provide information on the factors affecting the functionalities of medical Internet portals. The impact of the functionality on the selection of websites by the web surfers was also analyzed.

Medical portals should provide the effective web resources of information and interactive communication mediums. This is very important for the portal users i.e. patients, healthy citizens, healthcare professionals.

In this article the areas and criteria for the quality of health portals, particularly in terms of the quality of information and the accessibility and functionality of these sites were identified.
