Abstract:
The use of modern technologies in the teaching of informatics is popular and highly motivational for pupils. The article deals with application of activation methods by using interactive teaching tools as part of teaching programming for beginners. Experiential activities bring solutions to simple problems. This way pupils will learn to think creatively, while playfully mastering the subject matter. In addition, they can also solve new problems based on the acquired knowledge. In this article we describe the possibilities of coding available programmable robotic toys, as well as the use of their computer emulators and accessible applications to fill the Ozobot, Bee-bot, Edison and Dash robots with life. We will detail the possibilities of building programming skills and techniques by applying sequences of simple commands at the lowest level. Parallel program execution - visualized feedback of the results help to better understand the problem. Visualization for each phase of the problem solving greatly supports the deep learning and problem solving skills. The specific educational tools and applications presented here are beneficial to experiential teaching of informatics as well as a possible new type of learning activities in accordance with modern trends in education.
