Abstract:
The article deals with the new didactic processing of the topic of straight rod struts, which is intended for secondary school teaching of technical mechanics. The theme is further intended as an inspiration to future teachers of technical subjects, preparing at universities with a technical focus on the career of a secondary school teacher. The selected examples from technical practice explain the basic theoretical approaches and theories of the calculation of the straight rod strut. Important concepts for explaining and defining the strut are the concepts of slenderness of the rod, the fit of the rod, the constant cross-section and the length of the rod and safety. Inter-subject relations also play an important role in the interpretation. In particular, a reminder of knowledge with other subjects e.g. mathematics and physics. The article is supplemented by school experimental examples of strain on long bars with a constant cross-section and with different fit of both ends of the rod. The examples above can easily explain the different shapes of rod deformations dependent on their storage. Examples of saving bars are usually displayed as a fact in a professional literature. The article contributes to the development of industry didactics in technical subjects. Keywords:
