Abstract:
This article, "A Systemic Analysis of the Curriculum in Specialized Artistic Education (Field: Music) in Portugal," aims to examine the need for a curriculum reform in the teaching of artistic disciplines at the specialized artistic education level. The article emphasizes the urgency of reforming the curriculum to align artistic education with contemporary cultural and educational realities, grounded in critical and post-critical curriculum theories that view the curriculum as a space for political and cultural contestation. The analysis seeks to understand dynamic and adaptive approaches to contemporary realities, examining how education can integrate technical, cultural, and critical thinking skills, based on the reforms include the implementation of Decree-Law No. 310/83 of July 1st in Portugal. Thus, this article proposes more inclusive and reflective educational policies and pedagogical practices, contributing to the evolution of specialized artistic education.
