Abstract:
In the Raising Digital Competencies project, we created a diagram of digital technologies to be used in the learning process. These technologies can be divided into three categories:
1. Technologies for informing: These technologies transmit information to students. They include e-textbooks, websites, videos, and presentations.
2. Technologies for collaboration: We use these technologies to encourage student collaboration. They include online forums, chat rooms, wikis, and learning management system tools.
3. Technologies for creation: We use them to create new content. They include word processing tools, presentation creation tools, video recording tools, and 3D printing tools.
Also, different activities that students can do with the help of digital technologies were developed. These activities include Reading and researching, Collaboration and communication, Creating and presenting, Problem-solving and project work, and Self-assessment and reflection.
Digital technologies can help students understand content better, develop critical thinking skills, collaborate with others, create new content, solve problems, self-assess, and reflect.
We developed the diagram, a valuable tool for teachers and other professionals who want to integrate digital technologies into the learning process. It provides them with an overview of the different options available to them and helps them plan learning activities that are effective and engaging for students.
In addition, the diagram offers some key findings on the use of digital technologies in the learning process:
- Digital technologies can help students achieve better learning outcomes.
- Digital technologies can help students develop 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
- Digital technologies can help students become more active and engaged in their learning.
The effective use of digital technologies requires careful planning and training.
The diagram is a resource for anyone aware of digital technologies' potential to improve learning. Keywords:
