Abstract:
In the rapidly evolving educational landscape, the quest for innovative teaching methodologies has led to the exploration of gamification as a tool to transform passive learning into active, engaging experiences. Traditional educational approaches often fall short in fostering sustained student engagement and participation, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. This paper examines the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionize educational practices by integrating gamification strategies, thereby enhancing student motivation and learning effectiveness. The central research question guiding this investigation is: "How can AI-powered gamification be employed to transition from passive to active learning environments?"
The incorporation of AI in education offers unprecedented opportunities for creating dynamic and interactive learning experiences tailored to individual student needs. Gamification, defined as the application of game design elements in non-game contexts, has shown promise in motivating students, enhancing engagement, and promoting active learning. By leveraging AI, educators can develop intelligent gamification frameworks that adapt in real-time to the diverse learning preferences and progress of students, creating a personalized and immersive educational experience.
This study explores the integration of AI-powered gamification in educational settings, focusing on its ability to shift the traditional passive learning paradigm towards a more active and participatory model. The research underscores the importance of active learning, characterized by student-centered activities that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
