Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to improve the activity and result study of mechanical engineering degree students using Active Learning Strategies. Active learning strategy is basically a type of learning-oriented approach to the activity of learners in creating and discussing ideas, solving problems, and implementing actions.

The present paper analyses the data obtained in the subject of Environmental Engineering by comparing a master class and using a model of a cyclone separator similar to that used in an industrial process to validate and experiment through different tests. The results allowed us to conclude that important improvements to the assimilation of knowledge with respect to the results obtained with the master class exist. Thus, at present, students can get a real glimpse into the processes that are currently used in environmental engineering, as well as have a tool that will streamline the achievement of the course's expected learning objectives.
