Abstract:
This paper presents our experiences in the integration of face-to-face and virtual teaching for the subject Introduction to Econometrics at the University of Huelva. Different learning styles have been used to adapt this subject to the new scenario envisioned by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in which students are required to be more active. In this regard, the aim of the Bologna Process is to create a European Higher Education Area based on international cooperation and academic exchange which is attractive to European students.
We have used for blended learning, which is also known as hybrid or mixed learning, the virtual platform Moodle. It is free, highly adaptable, and allows the adaptation of the University education to the European Higher Education Area. In this virtual learning environment different tools like forums and chats were utilized and multimedia contents were provided to students.
The result of the implementation of blended learning in the subject Introduction to Econometrics has been the optimization of the teaching/learning process. Keywords:
