Abstract:
Entrepreneurial education has contributed to the dynamization of learning and teaching methodologies. These methodologies let students acquire not only knowledge, but an integral education by competencies. The transference of entrepreneurial competencies to the students will allow them a major role as dynamic socioeconomic actors in the territory. This highlight, one more time, the responsibility and challenges of universities in the training of professionals.

Methodologies are the key instruments to develop competencies. Entrepreneurial education promotes active methodologies, student-centered learning, participatory, real and varied situations; allowing students to live activating the learning process. This approach allows the student to go from “knowing” to “acquiring” the necessary competencies in their training.

The incorporation of entrepreneurship, not as a curricular subject, but as an intrinsic element in education, requires substantial changes in the educational model, distant from traditional model. It goes from a passive to an active education, which not only demands new teaching and learning methodologies, but also a new look from the top of the system that integrates all its parts. This choice also implies training and characteristics of the teachers, because they will guide and lead the educational process in the classroom.

This new approach, in addition to optimizing the acquisition of competencies and improving the experience in the educational process, allows students to preparing a professional and personal profile, which gives them efficient tools to face life. Allowing them to integrate into society as actors of change, with greater empowerment and decision-making capabilities, adaptability, creativity, self-management, among others, which ultimately advocates important features of a quality education.
