Abstract:
The interest of the scientific community and of the international agencies responsible for training and education of youth, in recent years, has focused on the role of physical activity (PA) as a factor capable of promoting the establishment of healthy lifestyles and to determine, in the short term, a correct psychophysical development and, in the long-term, transference adult protective health behaviors acquired in childhood (Biddle et al, 2004). International guidelines recommend a daily practice of PA through the structuring of lessons involving students in activities between the moderate and intense. The studies in the literature on this subject have been conducted almost exclusively through the administration of questionnaires. The purpose of this work is to develop a study protocol, to be implemented in primary school, for the assessment of PA levels during the lessons, through the use of a metabolic holter able to detect in a more detailed way the parameters related to PA.
