In this study, the author investigated the italian good practice in music education in and out the school system that today uniquely engages children in a proven music education program designed to maximize music learning and general cognitive development. It requires learning accurate singing and rhythmic performance skills, a vocabulary of tonal and rhythmic patterns, a sense of tonality and rhythmic meter, and a repertoire of songs and musical masterworks. It also requires engaging the child in such mental functions as imitation, recall, recognition, and improvisation. Learning is accomplished through a carefully sequenced curriculum, clear and memorable instruction, and accurate models of performance for children to imitate.

The concept is observed in many different context. In the framework of European perspectives on Music Education the author presents teachers, students, researchers and all those interested in music education with reflections on the artistic aspects of music education. The concept of artistry, pupils’ artistry and the artistry of music teachers are part of important questions discussed here and include: what are we aiming at when we want to develop pupils’ artistry? How do musical skills relate to artistry? How do music teachers relate their own musicianship to their teaching? What does the artistic and musical development look like in music teacher training? What are teachers’ competencies, creativity and craftsmanship?

In this research the author investigate the important role that plays the parent that has to encorage, support, and bloster the morale of him children: it is good to remember that all parents can play an important role in their children’s music learning experience. A nurturing parent whose smile, facial expressions, hugs, applause, and other signs of encouragement add to the excitement of learning music, can enhance any music learning program. A substantive program of music education for children is also good for adults: You never outgrow the pleasure of learning music.
