Abstract:
The model of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) set up, the Bolonia Plan, has brought a series of changes at the university institutions as acquire competences, among others, within the students throughout their academic studies. That reason has forced the universities to develop some required actions to guarantee students to achieve the knowledge and the academic competences and the professional skills set up within each level of the careers. One of the most relevant actions is the tutorials between students and teachers.

The University Tutorship (GIDUT), research group whereas the authors of this paper belong to, was created four years ago in order to research about the procedure of Bolonia, and currently is working more specifically on the tutorials and the transversal competences at the University of Burgos. Some of the results have been previously published in other ICERI conferences.

Continuing with new trends, the research work is more focused in knowing the perspective the students hold regarding the transversal competences they should acquire during their studies at the university and also know the needing the professors have in their daily relationship with the students. In order to develop this research has been necessary to filter and select the transversal competences of all the careers selected for the analysis and a questionnaire has been developed including 22 parameters.

The sample is composed by the students of Sciences, Sciences and Health, Engineering in a wide range of levels of study. The research reflect the results got in the academic year 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 and in four of the parameters related to the transversal competences a student should acquire. Valuing results, we can point out that it is possible to detect the interest and the knowledge the students hold regarding the transversal competence, as far as they can also evaluate the importance to that competences and which are the most significant and relevant in their opinion for their personal and professional progress.
