Abstract:
The article is a study of the DC4JOBS project (Erasmus+ programme/ 2017-1-DE04-KA205-01527), developed within a partnership from Cyprus, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain and Romania. The DC4JOBS project aims at promoting digital literacy among VET young people and raising their awareness about the role that social media interaction can have in their personal and professional development. The article introduces the project’s objectives, outputs, activities and the materials created which enable young people to understand and use digital communication for jobs. The article focuses on social media used for professional purposes as well as the main concerns and rules governing the digital environment. It also presents the main findings of the survey carried out on a group of students from Iasi, Romania, who participated in the project and used the project’s outputs to find jobs online and be successful on the job market by making effective use of their digital skills and promoting themselves online.Keywords:
