Abstract:
The article presents the research findings on Cultural Diversity and Inclusive Learning in Romania, as part of the European project Xeno-tolerance- 2015-1-FR01-KA202-15143. The present research evaluated the resources used for teaching cultural diversity in the Romanian educational system in relation to the prevention and fight against radicalisation. The research followed two strands: the analysis of official publications and materials in the field of educating for tolerance and for accepting diversity and interviews and focus groups to investigate teachers and stakeholders’ opinions about the role of education in solving issues such as discrimination, radicalisation or xenophobia. The methodology relies on systematic search of internet resources and database, relevant websites, online reports and dissertations. The paper also examines initial and continuous teacher education and training for inclusion and diversity highlighting the current needs of the existing educational context in Romania. Keywords:
