Abstract:
The tools for working with foreign students must be defined by variety, attractiveness, but also accessibility corresponding to learning needs. Open educational resources existing on study platforms or in virtual libraries offer the possibility of repeated and constant access and satisfy the digital needs of 21st century learners, having a high degree of attractiveness and interactivity.

The present paper aims to describe the way in which the previously mentioned work tools increase the quality of the academic life of foreign students who study Romanian in order to continue their bachelor's, master's or doctorate studies in our country.

The selected open educational resources were applied for two months to 40 foreign students from a group studying specialized languages in order to assimilate the specialized vocabulary needed for academic studies. Thus, the work materials intended to systematize and consolidate knowledge of the Romanian language, a specialized language, were designed and posted on the educational platform so that they can be accessed at any time in order to monitor progress. The 40 students could access the educational resources on a weekly basis and qualitative and quantitative progress could be observed in terms of the assimilated vocabulary. The fields considered are: medical language, legal language, social and human sciences, technical language. The results will be presented in detail in the paper in extenso.

At the end of the two months of B1 level Romanian language study, satisfaction questionnaires were applied regarding the creativity and usefulness of the resources used for the assimilation of specialized languages. The students appreciated the interactivity of the platform, the possibility of resuming the information at any time, the opportunity to check their qualitative and quantitative progress, the attractiveness of the online work tools, their accessibility.
