Abstract:
Teaching Romanian as a foreign language is a current field, which appeared with the extraordinary dynamics of society and once the borders became extremely mobile. Students who come to Romania to study cover the most diverse fields, so their communication needs are customized according to the area of research. It can also be emphasized that the assimilation of new language acquisitions depends very much on the student's mother tongue, the cultural area from which he comes, but also on his native availability. Discursive skills, both oral and written communication, require different teaching methods that teachers must use. Thus, oral communication, which is less standardized, is also the most difficult to correct, because the speaker has the lightness of expression, but in Romanian language courses the expression can be constantly corrected until the elimination of errors in topical pronunciation, sentence syntax. This paper aims to capture some optimal teaching methods for the development of discursive skills of oral and written expression of foreign students learning the Romanian language in order to continue their studies or to reorient themselves professionally.
